Who am I, you ask? I do not know where to begin. A swimmer? An engineer? A lover of cheese? And when I do begin, I do not know where to end. I feel infinite. The very act of searching myself seems only to uncover more to discover. So how could I ever fit all I need to say into an “About Me”?
All I can do is try.

I am a Canadian-Kenyan reader, leader, and builder, living in the thrumming metropolis of Toronto. I am currently building a company that tackles the problem of evaluating live visual data. I chase sunrises, write prose, am a bit of a hermit, and remain stubbornly in love with this thing called life. I practise yoga, read a book every couple of weeks, work out from time to time, and spend more time in bed than you’d probably expect.
I consider myself a generalist. Not because I am good at everything, but because I believe I can become good at most things I take seriously. My strength is in learning quickly, carrying ideas from one domain into another, and trying, wherever possible, to reason from first principles.
I hike, bike, and am trying to run. The latter is not going especially well.
I love exploring new cities, landscapes, civilisations—you get the idea. When I was younger, I was mostly an intellectual explorer. Somewhere along the way, I realised the worlds I explored in my head opened into those I encountered outside. Since then, it has been ever onward.
